USES: Lung cancer is treated with gefitinib. It works by slowing or halting cancer cell development. Gefitinib prevents the function of a particular protein (an enzyme called tyrosine kinase).
HOW TO USE: Gefitinib should be taken once a day, with or without food, or as prescribed by your doctor. Gefitinib absorption may be hampered by medications that minimize or fully block stomach acid (e.g., proton pump inhibitors/PPIs, H2 blockers, antacids). This could reduce gefitinib’s effectiveness. If you are taking any of these drugs, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. To get the most satisfaction from this drug, take it daily. Use it at the same time every day to help you recall.

Diarrhea
nausea
Feeling exhausted
sore throat
eyesight
cough
sudden problems with breathing, high temperature, infections.
loss of weight, lack of appetite, nose bleeding, hair loss
changes to some blood tests
