INTRODUCTION
TENFOPLUS (Tenofovir Alafenamide 25mg) contains tenofovir alafenamide which is an antiviral medicine. It is used to treat chronic (long-term) hepatitis B in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older, who weigh at least 35 kg. Hepatitis B is an infection affecting the liver, caused by the hepatitis B virus. This medicine stops the virus from multiplying and thus controls the infection. It works by interfering with the normal working of enzymes (in HIV reverse transcriptase; in hepatitis B DNA polymerase) that are essential for the viruses to reproduce themselves. This medicine is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding mothers. According to study it has shown harmful side effects on baby. Before taking Tenfoplus, tell your doctor if you have liver, kidney or heart problems. Do not drive while taking this medicine, it may make you feel dizzy and this may affect your ability to drive. Always take TENFOPLUS 25mg exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the medicine whole with plenty of water. Drink lot of fluid, such as water or squash, to avoid dehydration. Avoid consumption of alcohol while taking this medicine.
SIDE EFFECT OF TENFOPLUS
Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine.
